Crab Won Ton

This pupu was shared at a potluck. My 18-month old son ate three pieces, so I had to have the recipe.

  • 1 package won ton wrappers
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces imitation crab, shredded
  • 3 sprigs green onion
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 can chopped water chestnuts, optional
  • Cilantro, optional
  • Vegetable oil

In a bowl, mix cheese, crab, green onion and pepper. Add the water chestnuts and cilantro if desired. Place about a tablespoon of the mixture in the middle of the won ton wrapper. Dampen the edges of the wrapper with water, fold diagonally, and seal well.

In a deep fryer, heat oil and fry won ton until golden. Place on paper
towels to drain off excess oil.
