Bacon Bites

  • 18-20 bread rounds
  • Melted margarine
  • 2 stiffly-beaten egg whites
  • 1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. chopped parsley
  • 2/3 cup finely chopped green pepper
  • 1 tsp. chopped pimento
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • Dash of pepper
  • 3 bacon slices, diced

Cut bread with cookie cutters or into rounds. Toast bread on one side; brush untoasted side with margarine. Fold remaining ingredients, except bacon, into egg whites. Spoon onto toast; sprinkle with bacon. Broil 4-5 inches from unit for 8 to 10 minutes, or until bacon browns and cheese melts. Makes 18-20 Bacon Bites.
