Snickerdoodles

Lori-Ann Hanzal Vanderwoude, Class of 1972

  • 1 cup soft shortening
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 eggs

Mix together.

  • 2-3/4 cups flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Sift together and stir into above.

  1. Roll into balls the size of walnuts.
  2. Roll in mixture of 2 Tbsp sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon.
  3. Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  4. Bake 8-10 minutes in 400 degree oven until lightly brown, but still soft.
