Taro Bread
- 2/3 c. butter or margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 tbsp. salt
- 1 c. warm milk (real, fresh)
- 1 c. mashed Taro
- 3 eggs
- 2 pkgs. dry yeast
- 2 c. whole wheat flour & 6 c. white flour or 8 c. white flour (opt.)
Cream butter, sugar and salt. Add milk, eggs, mashed Taro and yeast. Add flour, 2 cups at a time. Knead the bread. Let rise for 2 hours, punch down, knead again and let rise for another hour. Punch down. Knead and shape into loaves. Let rise. Bake at 350 degrees.
Bake loaves for 40 minutes. Rolls for 15-20 minutes.
