  • 3 cups rice
  • 1 pound ground round
  • 1 round onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup green peas

Egg Sheets:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Pinch of salt

Beat eggs slightly; add seasoning and fry in thin sheets. Cut into fine strip for garnish.

Sauce:

  • 2 cups dashi
  • 2 tablespoons sake
  • 4 tablespoons shoyu
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon gourmet powder

Cook rice the usual way.

Cook ground round and chopped onion in the sauce for about 10 to 15 minutes. Add peas just before turning off heat.

Fill bowls 3/4 full with rice. Add meat mixture over rice and garnish with egg strips.
