Rich Brownies
Kanaye Kuramitsu – Honokaa
- 1/3 c butter
- 1 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 1 oz sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 2/3 c enriched flour
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- 2/3 c chopped nuts
Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Add cooled, melted chocolate and blend. Add sifted dry ingredients. Add nuts. Bake in greased 8″ square pan in moderate oven (350° F.) for about 35 minutes. Frost with creamy chocolate frosting.
