POUND CAKE

 

Yield: 2 loaf pans or 10 inch tube

INGREDIENTS

1½ cups butter

1 lb. sugar, powdered, sifted

6 Ige. eggs

1 tsp. vanilla extract

2% cups flour, cake; sifted

METHOD

  1. Cream butter and sugar.

  2. Add one egg at a time mixing well after each addition.

  3. Mix flour and vanilla extract into above mixture.

  4. Bake 300 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
