Oshi Zushi
- 5 cups rice – Wash and add same amount of water. Cook.
Vinegar Sauce:
- 1/2 cup Japanese vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 T salt
- 1/2 tsp. ajinomoto
Cook to mix sauce well. Pour over hot rice and mix well. Cool before making sushi.
Tuna Filling:
- 1/2 can Tuna
- 1 T sugar
- 3/4 T shoyu
- ajinomoto
Fry together in pan until dry consistency. Cool.
Using wooden press, place layer of prepared rice, tuna filling, then rice. Press to make sushi.
May be garnished with red shrimp flakes, parsley or watercress leaf and thin, small square layers of eggs.
