Orange Frosting II

  • 2 c milk
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 6 T flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 to 2 tsp fresh grated orange rind

Mix together first 4 ingredients and cook until thickened. Remove from heat. Beat egg yolks and add to custard stirring well. Return to heat (medium flame). Cook about 2 min. and then cool. When slightly cooled add butter, vanilla and orange rind. Spread on and between layers of cake.
