Clear Orange Topping For Cake
Mrs. Sachiko Okayama – Haina
- 1 c sugar
- 4 T cornstarch
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 c orange juice
- 1½ T lemon juice
- 2 T butter
- 2 T grated orange rind
Mix all of ingredients together, except orange rind, in saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil and boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Stir in the orange rind. Spread on cooled cake and sprinkle with 1 cup grated fresh coconut, if desired.
