Malasadas #3

combine and set until bubbly:

  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 2 pkgs. yeast
  • 1 tsp. sugar

Combine all ingredients:

  • 1 med. potato, diced & boiled
  • 1/4 c. potato water (remaining water after boiling potato)
  • 4 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten at room temperature
  • 1/4 c. margarine, melted
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. evaporated milk

Knead until springy. Set aside to rise. When double in size drop dough with ice cream scooper into hot oil. Deep fry until golden brown.
