Ice Cream Gelatin Dessert

Dissolve:

  • 3 – 3 oz. flavored gelatin
    Use three boxes of the same flavor
  • 2½ cup boiling water

Dissolve:

  • 1 envelope (¼ oz.) unflavored gelatin
  • ½ cup tap water

Combine both dissolved gelatin, stir.

Add:

  • 1 pt. (2 cup) vanilla ice cream or
  • 4 (3 oz.) cups vanilla ice cream

Pour mixture into individual glass dessert cups or pan. Chill until firm. Ice cream will form a top layer. If pan is used to set dessert, cut into desired serving pieces. Dessert will hold at room temperature for a long period, similar to kanten.
