Graham Cracker Cake

Mrs. Alice Botelho – Honokaa

  • 34 graham crackers, large
  • 1/2 c shortening
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 c milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 c walnuts, chopped

Mix sugar and shortening. Add vanilla. Add eggs, then beat until fluffy. Crumb graham crackers, then add to 1st mixture, alternately with milk. Last, add nuts. Bake at 350° F. oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until done, test with toothpick.
