German Potato Salad

Boil 12 medium red potatoes for 20 minutes. Cool. Sauce: Fry until crisp 1/2 lb. bacon, cut in small pieces. Add:

  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard

Stir and gradually add:

  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1 1/2 c. water

Add salt and pepper to taste. Simmer. Peel potatoes and cut in small pieces. Add:

  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1/4 c. chopped parsley

Add hot sauce and serve.
