Easy Drop Cookies

Ms. Sachiko Okayama – Haina

  • 1 1/3 c soft shortening
  • 2 c sugar
  • 2 eggs, unbeaten
  • ¼ c evap. milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 c sifted flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1½ tsp salt

Set oven temperature at 400° F.

Combine shortening and sugar in a large bowl. Blend in eggs, evaporated milk and vanilla.

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to blended mixture and mix well.

Drop by tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Flatten slightly and bake in oven until nicely browned.

Makes 7 dozens medium sized cookies.
