Chocolate Blanc Mange
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 3 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
Combine in saucepan sugar, cornstarch, chocolate and salt. Gradually add milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Cook until mixture thickens and cook 1 minute more. Add vanilla extract. Mixture can be poured into serving dishes for dessert; into a pie (baked) shell; or used for fondue in dipping bananas, doughnut or other fruits.
