Mine-Ha-Ha Cake

Mrs. Mary Ellen Valenciano – Hakalau

• 1 c sugar
• 1/2 c butter
• 3 eggs
• 1 tsp lemon or vanilla extract
• 2 c sifted flour
• 1 tsp soda
• 1 tsp cream of tartar
• 1/2 – 3/4 c milk

Cream sugar and butter thoroughly. Add eggs and beat well. Add extract and mix.

Sift together the dry ingredients and alternately add to the creamed mixture with milk.

Place in greased cake pans and bake in moderate oven 350° F. for about 30 minutes.
