Fruit Cheesecake Bars

(KTA Recipe)

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 can blueberry or apple pie filling
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 baking pan. Reserve 1/2 cup cake mix. Combine remaining mix, crumbs, 1 egg, 1/4 cup butter. Press into bottom and sides of pan.

Beat cream cheese, sugar, and 2 eggs in a bowl until smooth. Spread on crust.

Spoon pie filling over cream cheese layer.

Sprinkle reserved cake mix and nuts on top of pie filling. Drizzle with remaining butter.

Bake for about 35 minutes. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cool and cut into bars.
