Ice Cake
Sei Kaneshiro
In memory of Lea Arakawa Kaneshiro, eldest child of Zempan and Tsuru Arakawa, founders of Arakawa’s. Lea was a favorite teacher of students at Waipahu Elementary School.
During the good old days, plantation residents would make this recipe in an aluminum ice tray that had a handle to release the ice cubes.
- 1 can condensed milk
- 5 cans water (measured with condensed milk can)
- 1 can syrup (measured with condensed milk can)
Mix, pour into ice try, and freeze.
