Kona Coffee Cake

  • 1 box yellow cake mix, butter flavor
  • 1 block butter, melted
  • 1/4 c. Crisco oil
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 8-oz. carton sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. instant coffee

Mix first four ingredients till smooth. Beat sour cream till smooth and pour into first mixture. Fold in instant coffee. Pour into greased 9×13″ pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 30-35 minutes.

Topping

  • 8 Tbsp. soft butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 4 tsp. cream or milk
  • 2/3 c. brown sugar

Mix ingredients together. Spread on cooled cake. Broil till sugar melts and topping is light brown.
