Ever-So-Easy Fruitcake

  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 can Borden’s Eagle Brand (sweetened condensed milk)
  • 2 c. raisins
  • 2 c. candied fruit mix
  • 1 c. coarsely chopped nuts (walnuts)
  • 2 c. Kellogg’s corn flakes crumb
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Butter a 9″ tube pan. Line with waxed paper and butter again. In a large size bowl, combine eggs, sweetened condensed milk, fruit mix, raisin and nuts and mix well. Blend well corn flake crumbs and baking soda and add to ingredients. Pour into prepared pan and bake in 300 degree slow oven for 2 hours or until a cake tester comes out clean. Cool in pan for 5 minutes. Turn out of pan and remove paper. Cool. If desired, decorate with glazed cherries.
