Fruit Cake #1

• 1 pkg. raisins
• 1 c. butter
• 2 c. sugar
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 4 c. flour
• 1 tsp. soda
• 1/4 c. wine
• 1 c. nuts
• 1 box fruit mix
• 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, cloves, allspice & salt

Boil raisins in 2 c. water until it becomes puffed. Add butter, sugar and spices. Cool. Add beaten eggs and flour. Add nuts, fruit and wine. Bake in 300 degree oven for about an hour. Makes 4 loaves of small loaf pan. Remember the pan of water on the lower rack.
