Butter Cake

  • 2½ cup cake flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup sugar

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add beaten eggs then add dry ingredients (sifted three times) alternately with milk. Bake in two 9″ pans at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. Frost as desired.
