Strawberry-Sponge Cake Dessert

  • 2 boxes (3 oz.) orange jello dissolved in 2 c. boiling
  • 1 pkg. gelatin soaked in 1/4 c. thawed strawberry juice and dissolved in the jello mixture

Add:

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 boxes frozen strawberries
  • 1 large and 1 small cans evaporated milk – partially frozen and beaten stiff

Fold in above mixture.

  • 1 sponge cake broken into pieces

In cake pan pour 1/3 of mixture, 1/2 of cake pieces, 1/3 of mixture, remainder of cake and mixture.
Cover with:

  • 1 bottle whipped cream
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Frost top. Refrigerate overnight.
