Miso Soup With Long Rice

  • 1/4 cup dried shrimps
  • 1 qt. water
  • 1/2 cup miso
  • 1 small bundle long rice, soaked in boiling water
  • 1/2 stick kamaboko
  • 1/2 cup grated turnip
  • 1 egg
  • 3 stalks green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon gourmet powder

Make soup stock with water and shrimps. Discard shrimps.

Add miso, long rice and kamaboko (cut like match sticks) and bring to a boil.

Beat egg in a bowl, mix with grated turnip and pour into soup.

Just before serving, add gourmet powder and chopped green onions.
