Shortbread Brownies

Crust:

  • 1 Cup Butter or Margarine
  • 2 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar

Brownie:

  • 1 Pkg Ghirardelli Brownie Mix (17-20 oz.)
  • 1 Ea Large Egg
  • 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/3 Cup Water

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease pan.

Blend crust ingredients until crumbly. Pat into the pan. Bake for 15 minutes and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, blend egg, oil, and water. Add brownie mix and stir until moistened. Spoon over crust and bake for 35-40 minutes or until done.

Cool and cut with a plastic knife.
