Prune Cake

  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. prunes
  • 1 1/2 c. prune juice
  • 3/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 2 tsp. baking soda (mix with little water)
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 egg whites
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon

Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Fruit Frosting:

  • 1 1/2 blocks butter
  • 2 c. prunes (strained)
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 egg white, beaten

Cream butter and sugar. Add remaining ingredients.
