Curried Franks
10 franks (1 lb. pkge.) slice pennywise or into five pieces
1 tbsp. butter or margarine
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. powdered ginger
1/4 tsp. curry
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
3 tbsp. finely chopped onion
Melt butter in a saucepan. Add flour and stir until combined. Gradually add water and soy sauce stirring constantly. Add sugar, ginger, curry, lemon juice and stir well. Cut franks into 5 pennywise slices. Add the franks and onions to sauce. Simmer for about 10 minutes or until franks are thoroughy heated.
