Jell-O Cake

  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 c. salad oil*
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 pkg. orange Jell-o
  • 1 can orange juice base (to be used for topping)

*1 block butter or margarine and 1/4 c. salad oil may be used.
Place first 4 ingredients (except orange juice base) in a bowl and mix with beater for 4 minutes. Then add the Jell-o that has been dissolved in the water. Bake in 12×9″ pan for 45-50 minutes in 350 degree oven. When cake is done, pour well mixed orange juice base while it is hot. Serve hot or cold.

Variation: Lemon flavored cake with instant lemon pudding. Chocolate malt cake with instant chocolate pudding.
