Energy Bars

  • 1 block butter
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 10½-oz. pkg. minature marshmallow
  • 3 cups oats (1 minute oats)
  • 5 cups Rice Krispies
  • 1½ cups raisins (9-oz. box)
  • 1 cup unsalted peanuts (or more)
  • 1 pkg. sesame seeds

Heat oats and rice krispies in a large skillet for a few minutes. Heat butter, peanut butter and marshmallow in a large pot until melted. Combine toasted oats, rice krispies, peanuts, raisins into the mixture — mixing and working quickly. Spread and press into lightly buttered pan. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and press lightly. Cool and cut into bars. Wrap in individual waxed paper. Use 1 large pan or 2 9×13 pans.

HINT: Have all ingredients pre-measured before starting to heat butter mixture. Once ingredients melts you must work quickly.
