Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c. regular sugar
  • 2 blocks butter or margarine
  • 1 egg
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. water
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. shredded coconut
  • 2 c. macadamia nuts, walnuts or pecans
  • 2 c. chocolate chips

Cream margarine; add sugar, egg, salt, vanilla, baking soda and water. Add flour, coconut, nuts and chocolate chips. Mix by hand as dough will be coarse. Roll into 1″ balls and squeeze to keep chips and nuts together. Bake until firm in 275 degree oven.
