Banana Chiffon Cake

Mrs. Michiko Inoue – Puueo

  • 1 c flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/3 c oil
  • dash of cream of tartar
  • 1 c sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2 bananas, mashed
  • 4 egg whites, stiffly beaten

Sift flour, baking powder, salt three times. Make a well in dry ingredients and add oil, a dash of cream of tartar, mashed bananas and egg yolks, mix well. Then fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour in a 3×9 inch tube pan. Bake in 350° F. oven for 30 to 40 min.
