Boston Cookies (1st Prize Maui County Fair)
1 cup butter
1-1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. soda
3 tsp. hot water
3 cups flour
few gratns salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup chopped nut meats
1 cup seeded raisins, chopped
Cream butter, add sugar gradually, and egg. Add soda dissolved in hot water, and half of the flour mixed and sifted with salt and cinnamon; then add nutmeats, raisins and remaining flour. Drop by spoonful 1 inch apart on buttered sheet.
Bake in moderate oven (350 F).
