Easy Cheese Sauce

 

Cut into 1/2 inch square 4 slices American cheese. Put cheese into a heavy 1 quart saucepan with 1/4 cup evaporated milk. Stir over low heat until cheese is completely melted. Stir in a little at a time, 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Heat until streaming hot, but do not boil. Remove from heat and serve hot on baked potatoes, split frankfurters and sandwiches like bacon and tomato or sliced chicken. Makes 1 cup.
