APPLE WALNUT PAN CAKE

 

Yield: 9 x 13 inch pan

INGREDIENTS

1 can seasoned apple pie filling, (do not drain)

2 med. eggs

⅔ cup oil

1 cup oil

1 tsp. vanilla extract

2 cup flour

1½ tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

½ cup nuts, chopped

TOPPING

1 cup sugar

½ cup sour cream

½ tsp. baking soda

METHOD

  1. Combine all ingredients, adding apples last.

  2. Pour into pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30 to 40 minutes.

  3. Pour hot topping and sprinkle with ¼ c. nuts.

TOPPING

  1. Combine and cook over medium heat, stirring until it comes to a boil.

  2. Pour hot mixture over warm cake.
