Manapua #2

 

Bun:
1 box hot roll mix

Follow the direction on the box and set aside to rise.

Filling:
1/2 lb. ground pork or meat
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
Ginger and garlic
Red coloring
Chopsui yam or water chestnut, chopped fine
Green onion, chopped fine

Cook the filling until done.

Manapua: Knead dough until springy. Divide in 12 pieces, flatten each piece, till with fi l l i n g , and pinch edges together.

Place on waxed paper 2 inches in diameter. Set aside to rise.

Steamed or baked: Steam in roasting pan for 20 minutes or bake in oven until golden brown.
