Chocolate Cake (1st Prize County Fair) #2
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup crisco
2/3 cup cocoa
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp. salt
Mix together and beat 2 minutes.
Add:
1-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1-1/2 tsp. baking soda
Stir in by hand:
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
1/2 cup milk
Beat 2 minutes.
Bake at 350 F. for 35 to 40 minutes. (CAUTION: First be sure to have oven heated to right temperature.)
