Sponge Cake

 

1 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 eggs
1/4 cup orange juice
1 cup sugar

Beat 2 egg whites until stiff, then add the other two eggs (whole) with the 2 egg yolks and add sugar gradually and keep on beating until the mixture turns to light yellow in color. When smooth and light add the flour mixture alternately with orange juice and before placing in the pan, add the stiffly beaten egg whites.
