Saimin Namasu
1 pkg. 7 oz. saimin
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 tsp. monosodium glutamate
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup celery
1 pkg. soup base
1 medium cucumber
2 stalks green onion·
3 slices ham boiled (optional)
1 kamaboko, cut into slivers
Cook saimin as directed on package, drain. Dissolve soup base in hot water, cool. Add MSG, salt and vinegar-into cooked soup base. Cut cucumber and remove seed. Cut cucumber, onion and ham into strips, add to sauces with celery and chill and toss. Just before serving combine saimin.
