Ellen’s Char Siu
4-5 lb. pork butt, cut in 2-inch strips
Sauce:
1/2 tsp. 5 spices
4 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. Hoi Sin Sauce (heaping)
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. red coloring
Soak pork overnight in sauce made by combining all ingredients. Place on foil and bake 1 hour or more in 300 degree oven.
Optional: Glaze with honey when done.
