8 lbs. shoulder round beef remove tendons and bones

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cube ginger root, minced

1 cup shoyu

1/4 cup vinegar

4 handfuls Hawaiian salt

1/4 cup salad oil

1-1/2 tsp. monosodium glutamate

1/2 tsp. black pepper

Soak meat that has been cut into 1-1/2 inch wide strips for 1/2 hour. Place on screens for about 4 hours (in hot sun) turn for even exposure.
