Chinese Pot Roast

 

3 lb. beef
1/4 cup shoyu
1/4 cup cold water
2 tbsp. sugar
1 slice ginger
1 clove garlic

Place beef in heavy pot or dutch oven with other ingredients. Simmer over low fire for 3 hours. Turn the roast when half done. When ready to serve place on a platter and garnish with Chinese parsley. Pour bot gravy in a bowl. Serve with rice.
