Shoyu Rice (Mixed)

 

3 cups rice - 3 cups water
1 can mushroom (matsutake)
3 age (Fried Tofu)
2 Konyaku (Devils Tongue)
1/3 cup dried shrimp
3/4 cup shoyu
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. ajinomoto

Wash rice and measure water and soak it for 3 hours. Wash and soak dried shrimp in 1-1/2 cup water. Cut mushrooms thin in strips, also Konyaku and age.

Boil shrimps that has been soaked until dashi ts made then add mushroom, age and konyaku and cook for a while. Then add shoyu, sugar and ajinomoto until done. Drain rice water in a pot and measure water drained from rice. Then drain your dasht in a separate pot and measure. Be sure to have the same amount of dashi as the amount drained from rice. Then mix with rice the ingredients on top of the rice then add the dasgi that has been measured and cook like you would cook rice. Then when done mix the ingredients that are on the top carefully with rice scooper. Serve hot.
