Maze Gohan (Rice Mixed With Vegetables)
3 cups rice
3 cups water
When steamed and ready, mix in the following:
1/2 konnyaku (made from flour of tuber root)
1 small carrot
6 string beans
6 dried mushrooms soaked in water
1/3 kamaboko
1 aburage (fried bean curd)
1 small gobo (burdock)
seasoning:
2 tbsp. shrimp flakes
3-1/2 tbsp. sboyu
3-1/2 tbsp. sugar
1-1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. gourmet powder
Cut all ingredients into small thin pieces and cook in 1 cup water until vegetables are tender. Add seasoning and cook for 7 or 8 mins. Then mix Into the cooked rice. Keep rice flaky. Serve Hot.
