NUT SLICES

Boil and stir occasionally:

2 cups sugar

1/2 cup canned milk

1 tbsp. butter

1/2 cup white corn syrup

1/8 tsp. salt

2 tbsp. chocolate

Cook to soft ball stage. Cool then add:

1 tsp. vanilla

1 cup nuts

Beat until creamy and quite cool. Knead and roll into logs. Cut in slices.
