SPICED CANDIED NUTS

Mix together in saucepan 1 cup sugar and 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon.

Stir in 1/4 cup canned milk and 2 tsp. water.

Boil to 236 degrees stirring constantly until soft ball stage.

Remove from heat.

Add 1-1/2 cups nuts (peanuts, pecans, almonds, walnuts, etc.) and 1/2 tsp. vanilla.

Stir until mixture can no longer be stirred. Turn out on waxed paper and separate nuts into small pieces with fingers. Must be done quickly. Makes a little less than a pound.
