Taro Rolls

 

1 pkg. (1/4 oz.) yeast

1/4 c. warm water

1/3 c. margarine

6 tbsp. sugar

1 c. Taro, mashed or put through ricer

1/2 c. warm milk

2 eggs, beaten

1-3/4 tsp. salt

4 c. flour

1 egg, beaten for brushing top of rolls

sesame seeds

Soak yeast in warm water. Cream margarine and sugar. Add Taro and stir in milk, eggs, salt and yeast mixture. Add flour; mix. Place dough on lightly floured board and knead until smooth. Place in bowl; cover and let rise until doubled in bulk. Shape dough into balls. Place in some greased muffin tins. Brush top with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds. Cover; let rise again until doubled in size. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Makes 1-1/2 dozen.
