Honey Rice Pie

I was delighted when I saw this recipe. I love making pies because I like the challenge of a crust. This may be because I studied Ceramic Arts in college and love the hand-building technique best. 😂 And the weirder the pie, the better. Rice? Saltines? Honey as the only sweetener? I’m there for it! Unfortunately, for my tastebuds, there is a strange flavor that permeates this pie. It looks like it would taste like a delicious custard, but it actually tastes like white rice with honey on it, which I guess I am not into. The crust itself is crunchy and chewy and may be a nice alternative to a graham cracker crust for a cheesecake.
