Avocado Chiffon Pie

 

I cup strained avocado

3 egg yolks

1-1/2 tbsp. butter

1/2 tsp. nutmeg

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 cup sugar

1 package plain gelatin

1/4 cup water

3 egg whites

1/2 cup sugar

Juice of 1/2 lemon

Whipped cream if desired

Cook avocado, egg yolks, butter, nutmeg, cinnamon, 1/2 cup sugar and lemon juice together. Dissolve gelatin in water and add to hot mixture. Cool and fold in 3 egg whites beaten with 1/2 cup sugar. Chill in refrigerator. Top with whipped cream.
