Grandma’s Char Siu

Pork Butt
1/2 cup Shoyu
1/2 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
2 tablespoons Hoisin Sauce
1 tablespoon Red Coloring
1-1/2 teaspoons Salt

Slice pork into 1 x 1-1/2 inch thick strips. Boil until tender. Combine rest of ingredients to make the sauce. Marinate meat in sauce overnight.

Bake in a preheated 300 oven for one hour with an extra pan of water in oven to keep meat juicy. Slice into bite size pieces to serve.

Use as pupu or as garnish for fried noodles.
